Korex has pioneered and patented a mechanical method of removing asbestos in soil. This brings a certainty of output soil quality and reduces the amount of waste to landfill by up to 80% which other remediation methods cannot give.
As the owner of this patent in Australia, Korex is the only company permitted to undertake this method of mechanical removal of asbestos in soil and the only company permitted to issue licences to use this method.
If you have a job that requires the mechanical removal of asbestos in soil then you will need to obtain a Day Licence in order to undertake this method.
NB: The Korex patent is on the process rather than limited to any particular make or model of machine. It applies to the use of reclaimers and soil separators when they are employed to remediate soils with asbestos.
How much is a Day Licence?
Day Licences are charged at $950 plus GST per machine used.
How do I apply?
To apply for a Day Licence, simply fill in the application form below. Once the form is received, a daily licence will be issued within 24 hours.
Korex will issue Day Licences to applicants who hold a Worksafe asbestos removal licence or can provide evidence of their subcontractor who holds one.
From March 1, 2020 Korex will be protecting its licence patent against any and all infringement.
